  • The House of Pain is far more than a gym. It is an entire community of supportive, like-minded, and goal oriented people. Whatever your fitness goals may be, the trainers at the House of Pain go above and beyond to make your goal their goal as well. My personal fitness journey has been incredibly varied; it has went from a 100+ pound weight loss, to weight maintenance, to mud run training, to my newest interest which is muscle building for strength. Each goal has come with its own unique set of challenges and concerns. My trainer at House of Pain, Zach, has been one step ahead of me for each goal. Together we celebrate every success and learn from every perceived failure. My safety and personal growth are made a priority at House of Pain. I have trained all over the country and can say without reservation that the House of Pain has the most dedicated, caring, and progress focused staff that I have ever seen. I am proud to be a part of the House of Pain family!

I, like many people, have struggled with my weight my entire life. At the beginning of 2015 I found myself the heaviest I had ever been and really unhappy with myself. As a mother of 2 toddlers, I wanted to be able to keep up with them and to also be an example for them on how to lead a healthy lifestyle. I heard about Troy and the House of Pain through a friend of a friend. I decided to give him a call to hear about the program and how I could benefit. After a 30 minute telephone call I was down in the books and ready to begin. Of course I was skeptical because I was the queen of losing 20-30 pounds and then gaining it all right back. I started with the HOP on February 19th, 2015. I really stuck to the eating plan Troy laid out for me and also the at-home exercises. I enjoyed going to my trainer and also Painaerobics. Looking forward to exercising was definitely something new for me. I began to see changes in myself after about a month. My family and friends began to see me change as well. By August, I had lost 50 pounds. Never did I think this was possible. Another month later and I had lost 10 more pounds making my total weight loss so far 60 pounds. I have a new confidence in myself and others have started asking me advice on how to lose weight. I truly enjoy going to Painaerobics every week. I still have more weight to lose but I now know that it is possible through hard work and dedication. Troy and his staff gave me just what I needed to be successful. If you are considering joining and making a change, do it! You will not regret it!

  • In September 2014, a friend of mine told me about this great place where you could change your way of eating, thoughts on exercise, and of course in turn change your life. I had every excuse in the world .... I can't afford it, I don't have time, I don't do gyms, blah, blah, blah. Four months later, while sitting in my living room one evening in the same chair I had virtually sat in all day, something clicked! I realized in that moment that I DID have time, plenty of it ... and sitting in that chair wasn't helping me meet fantastic people, change the way I felt about myself, or helping me get up and get active. The next day I made the phone call that not only changed my life, but saved it!! With the help of Troy, I have lost 68 pounds, changed my entire lifestyle through healthy eating habits and frequent activity.

In 2015, I competed 5 obstacle course races, a biathlon, and several 5k's. I am training to complete a triathlon in 2016, which will be another huge accomplishment to add to my list! The House of Pain saved my life by showing me who I really am and what I'm capable of .... it's not a diet, exercise class, or gym for that matter ... it's a lifestyle, way of thinking and great supportive people, who have become a new family to me! Looking back at 2015, I want to say thank you to my family for being my cheerleaders and support, but most of all to Troy Fisher and the HOP family for helping me find myself and this new life that has brought me strength, confidence and happiness! I look forward to 2016 and continuing this journey with you all :-)

3 years ago my weight peaked at 330 pounds. Determined to lose weight I talked to my doctor. He put me on a 1600 calorie diet and I was able lose 50 pounds, but gained 14 pounds back due to not exercising. At the beginning of this year I weighed 289 pounds. With the help of Troy at the House of Pain I have now lost another 60 pounds. I am now at 230 pounds.

  • "I believe in you. I know that you can do this and I will help you. I know you want this. It will be a hard road, but I believe in you and I won't give up on you and I won't let you give up on yourself." Those are the words that I heard the first time I met Troy Fisher, on June 10th 2013. I walked into what was then a little shed weighing 316.6 pounds, depressed, broken, feeling lost and ashamed of the shape I had let myself get into. I walked into the then shed with polycystic ovarian disease, insulin resistance (on the verge of diabetes) irritable bowel syndrome, asthma, and had recently started having trouble with my bladder.

Troy told me he was sure that I could lose 100 pounds in a year. I laughed and said it will never happen. You will be lucky to get 50 pounds off me. I've tried losing weight my whole life. I've done the gym, every diet, starving myself, pills, shakes, nothing works. I'm just meant to be fat. He said yeah, we'll see about that.

Fast forward to January, 2014; I walked into the gym, which had then transformed into the House Of Pain, a nervous wreck. Troy had a big grin on his face and said are you ready? Is today the big day? I could barely breath as I faces the scale. I closed my eyes, stepped on the scale, looked down and just stared, 215.0. Troy was right, I was able to lose over 100 pounds, but not on a year, in just 7.5 months.

This journey has been so much more than I ever expected. It's not just about losing weight. This has been as much of a mental and emotional journey as it has been a physical one. When I was on my way to meet Troy I fully expected him to take 1 look at me, laugh and say there is no way, you're hopeless. I was so completely wrong. Troy and the other trainers have been there every step of the way to answer questions, listen to my concerns, and offer their unending support and encouragement. Not once have I ever felt uncomfortable, judged, or out of place. I can't imagine my life without the House Of Pain family.

The compassion and drive that Troy and the other trainers have to change people's lives is what has taken this company from the nameless little shed with 1 other client to Troy Fisher's House Of Pain that has changed hundreds of lives. Troy Fisher's House Of Pain has truely been an answer to my prayers. I thank God every day for bringing Troy and his life transforming system into my life.

  • I've wrestled with my weight (up & down) since I was 13 years old. I have health problems and take medication that causes weight gain. Both of my parents had open heart surgery just 11 months apart. I knew then it was time to start taking better care of myself. The first time I went to Painaerobics was in September of 2013. My daughter-in-law invited me and I was intimidated at first thinking it would be all these young ones. I was 57 at the time, and I fell in love with it and was very pleased with how Troy treated everyone. He always answered all my questions, gave me a meal plan to follow and made everyone feel special. Everyone at the House of Pain is just like a family and supports each other. I started out at 182 pounds and in 7 months I lost 60 pounds.

My biggest addiction that I struggle with is sugar. I put back on 10 pounds last July when I went on vaction for a week, but got it right back off when I got back on track. In the last 4 months I put 6 pounds back on from stress and not eating properly as my youngest son was almost killed by a drunk driver. I have now taken 2 of those pounds back off and have 4 more to lose to get back to 122 pounds. I have learned that just because I mess up not to give up! My new motto in life is "Eat to live - not live to eat". I went for my checkup/bloodwork 2 weeks ago. Everything was so good (BP, BMI, Blood Pressure, etc.) that I don't have to go back to my family physician for a year .. Thanks Troy!
